Dr. Weathers

Dr. Weathers has over 20 years of clinical work as a psychotherapist. Her approach is primarily a compassionate talk therapy using the Internal Family Systems (IFSsm) model that was developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz at the Center for Self Leadership. She also draws on principles of mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and hypnosis.

In addition to her private clinical practice, Dr. Weathers provides supervision, training & consultation. She has served as psychologist at the Cambridge Health Alliance where she taught and provided consultation for doctoral-level trainees. She has provided individual consultation for associates of Newton-Wellesley Eating Disorders and Behavioral Medicine, and she has supervised trainees in the Eating Disorders program at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD).

Dr. Weathers received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch University. She was a Harvard Fellow in Psychiatry in the Behavioral Medicine Program at the Cambridge Health Alliance where she specialized in Eating Disorders and Anxiety.
